We are traveling just after the Monsoon so the countryside is fresh and green with many birds in the landscape.
This tour is a good mix of Palaces, (some of which come into the category of stately homes) a very important Jain pilgrimage centre, craftsmen and women at master crafts level, and very importantly village life with a special highlight of seeing and important mela to celebrate village sports.
For painters the countryside will present jewel freshness. The whole journey is brimming full of painting subjects of every description. Textile artists will have many workshops to partake in if they so wish.
For the person who wishes just to see India working for itself rather than the tourist venues then this is the tour for you.
